In Debt to a Raccoon Slumlord
I did something I never thought I'd do. I purchased the game Animal Crossing for the Nintendo DS and went into 20 grand of debt to a raccoon. I totally didn't think I would like this game. Aridzone was the first to purchase it and others I knew picked it up but I maintained the idea that it was childish, odd and a little on the feminine side. Then someone at work let me try it out and now I'm hooked. It's a freaking fun game!! Much different pace from the other high adrenaline games like Metroid Prime Hunters I own. It is a very relaxing game that is one part old school quest driven rpg, one part life sim and all parts fun. It works on a time/calendar schedule so it changes seasons and day/night based on real time, which makes it a very interesting game. You can actually go to the town hall and the clock atop of the bulding displays the appropriate time. It's currently fall for my little village and I was lucky enough to get in on the Acorn Festival last night. You can also visit towns that your friends have built and take plants back to your village that you don't have and start growing them in your game. It's really a creative game and hard to put down.
